The Venezuela has a long tradition when riding. In Venezuela in South America, the horse was an important companion already with the aborigines. Horses have been used by the inhabitants of the South American Amazon. One of the known breeds is Criollo. This breed Criollo reaches a size of approximately 150 cm. Since the 16th century it has been present in South America and is therefore also to be found in Venezuela.

Venezuela has numerous islands situated in the Caribbean Sea and over 2,800 kilometers of beach on the north side. In western Venezuela is dominated by the mountains of the Andes.
